12 – 14 September 2007, Perth, Western Australia

Education Program: International Conference

The 2007 Computers in Art and Design Education (CADE) conference was held in Perth, in September 2007, as part of the Education Program of the Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (BEAP).

The CADE conference was a major international event for those interested in exploring ideas at the intersection of pedagogy, arts, design, science, and technology. The 2007 conference provided a focus for shared learning, dialogue and interaction that directly informed professional methodologies and practice.

This was the first CADE conference to be held outside Europe. The conference theme was "Stillness."

CADE delegates enjoyed a range of events organised by the Biennale, including  the ArCade V exhibition of electronic prints which was a satellite exhibition of BEAP at the John Curtin Gallery, Curtin University of Technology.
